My work is rooted in the techniques and aesthetics of 20th century Swedish glass design, particularly those developed at Orrefors Glasbruk.

 

I find that Swedish glassblowing techniques demand an intimate understanding of glass’s inherent qualities as a liquid and solid.

 

Pursuing excellence with these techniques gets me to the studio each day, but I enjoy stepping outside the Swedish design context to choose the colors and images I produce.

 

I am currently working on a series of air trap pieces using words and figures to process my stress from politics, as well as refining a line of housewares.
